I have a boyfriend!
Just a fun quick update....
So the rumors are true... I am dating someone! His name is Ryan Van Zee and he is the total opposite of who you would ever pick out for me! He is still apart of the Army , not musical at all, he is older than me( if you didn't know i usually like younger guys), and another interesting fact is that he is my boss' brother!! ha ha.
We started hanging out on Halloween and have been kind of inseparable since then, but we didn't start dating till a few weeks ago. I can't wait for you all to meet him. Kelly has already had the honors so you can ask her about him! He met my parents this past weekend too! Please be praying for us in this new relationship. Ryan's past is something that he struggles with and is a big part of our relationship already. He struggles with feeling worthy of dating me, he knows that he is forgiven but struggles a lot with shame and that feeling of not being worthy. Please pray for him as he works through those things. It is an honor to be with him and encourage him during this time.
I hope you all are having a great Christmas season. Ryan is not coming home with me for Christmas. He actually left this morning to go to Florida to visit his parents. He will be back in town on the 29th and we will be celebrating New Years together! If you don't have plans for New Years please feel free to come to Nashville and celebrate 2010 with us. We have my house and his bro's house for New Years so there will be plenty of places for everyone to stay!
Can't wait to see pics of Brooks, Bennett, and Gabriel at Christmas!! I love you girls and I will talk to you soon! I would love to share more with you about Ryan so please feel free to call. Kelly has loved living through me!! The beginnings of relationships are so fun!
Now someone else please blog!! The last blog was in September!

Gabriel Josiah Turner
I know what your thinking! Jess, this post is 2 weeks late! The truth is I just can't keep my hands off of him long enough to even type a blog update...
I will save all the natural birth stories for this coming weekend (yes, I even drank the Castor Oil), but check out Andrew's photos on face book and it tells a bit of the story. I posted the link to the album on my profile.
But, just because...he's perfect. Came into the world @ 7lbs 6ozs 21 inches long, left the hospital @ 6.13 and two weeks later is 8.4 and still 21 inches long...looks like his mom according to most onlookers...and did I mention he's perfect?
Can't wait to see everyone and for Gabriel to meet his aunts!xojessa

Memories of the Money Pit
It's been forever since I last updated, and honestly I probably won't update much tonight. I just wanted to share something funny. Our school just hired a new health instructional assistant (teacher). So anyway, we were talking during lunch and he mentioned that he had just moved from Auburn... where he was a fireman for over 6 years. So of course I ask, did you happen to work at the fire station on E. Magnolia? And yes, yes he did. So I go onto tell him that we lived in the brick house across the street. And then to clarify, tell him that we were the girls with the trampoline. He tells me that he remembers us very clearly, and giving scores to us as we jumped. HA! Wow, what a small world. We were a living legend, us 358 girls!
I hope everyone is doing well! I miss y'all and can't wait to see y'all and meet the new 358 baby boys at the end of September. Praying for you mamas!
Love,
Kels

Jesus, I am Resting
When life slows down what are the thoughts that come to your mind? What are the things you wish you were doing or could do? When you are not doing all the things that keep you so busy who are you really?
Tonight, I actually have a free moment to breathe, reflect, write, be myself. So far I have played the guitar, watched some reruns of One Tree Hill ( Haley, we need to have a marathon the next time we are together!), and sat in my living room with my roomie and a conversation that lasted longer than five minutes. These moments are few and far between for me now. I really can't remember the last time I had a night like tonight. So the above list doesn't really sum up my summer at all, but I am learning to appreciate it when it happens. I have traveled a lot already this summer but this next month I will be gone three of the four weeks. Here is just a little recap so you will know where I am and hopefully pray for me..i need your prayers!
July 4th-11th I will be in Nicaragua with 30 juniors and seniors in high school
July 19-25th- I will be in Chicago serving with 42 freshmen and sophomores
July 26th- August 11th- I will be all over Europe!! I am going to be backpacking with a good friend of mine here Ali Tanner. I will be flying by myself to London to meet Ali then we will be going to France, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland. I can not wait!!
I do have a plane ticket to come back from Europe! I am not crazy enough to not book one back. I know me too well. I know I would just stay. I don't have a plan anymore, I really can't picture one year down the road of what I think my life will be like. I guess it is a good place to be in. I don't have it together, I don't know why I think I do sometimes. I am just learning to rest. Resting in the gosepl. Resting in the fact that I don't have a plan. Resting in His. That's me. This is where I am. A scary yet awesome place. Anyone want to join?
When all the busyness of life slows down for a night this is the giant I am face. This is my struggle. I love you girls and I love seeing the pics and reading about what all is going on with each of you. I am putting the lyrics below to one of my favorite songs we sing at church. It sums up my summer, my life right now. Enjoy.
Jesus I am Resting
Jesus! I am resting, resting
In the joy of what Thou art;
I am finding out the greatness
Of Thy loving heart.
Thou hast bid me gaze upon Thee,
And Thy beauty fills my soul,
For, by Thy transforming power,
Thou hast made me whole.
Jesus! I am resting, resting
In the joy of what Thou art;
I am finding out the greatness
Of Thy loving heart.
Oh, how great Thy loving kindness,
Vaster, broader than the sea:
Oh, how marvelous Thy goodness,
Lavished all on me!
Yes, I rest in Thee, Beloved,
Know what wealth of grace is Thine,
Know Thy certainty of promise,
And have made it mine.
Simply trusting Thee, Lord Jesus,
I behold Thee as Thou art,
And Thy love, so pure, so changeless,
Satisfies my heart,
Satisfies its deepest longings,
Meets, supplies its every need,
Compasseth me round with blessings,
Thine is love indeed.
Ever lift Thy face upon me,
As I work and wait for Thee;
Resting 'neath Thy smile, Lord Jesus,
Earth's dark shadows flee.
Brightness of my Father's glory,
Sunshine of my Father's face,
Keep me ever trusting, resting,
Fill me with Thy grace.

Turner Summer
All is well & busy as you probably imagine...
30 weeks pregnant and because of a recent serious sinus infection, I have only gained 6 pounds! The pregnancy is fine and Gabriel is gladly sporting all six pounds low and in front it seems.
We have two new foster children who have been with us since May 23rd. Mackenzie will turn 3 on Friday and her sister Emma is 16 months. They keep us extremely busy to say the least. They are a long term placement and will most likely be with us when Gabriel is no longer suspended between earth and sky, but in our arms. Please commit to praying for them with us.
Andrew's cousin, Kristina, visited us earlier this year and her life was saved and radically transformed at a Ramp service. She moved to Hamilton in March to serve the ministry, be discipled and a part of what the Lord is doing here and she has been living with us as well. What a God-send she has been to me lately helping out with the house and girls.
The Ramp has a summer schedule like you wouldn't believe. We have four conferences this month alone. Summer Ramp 2 starts tomorrow night. Summer Ramp 1 was last week and it was life changing, our home is even a more amazing place because of how it so transformed each of us individually.
I love you all and wish we all could just get a way to the beach soon.xo jessica
So here is a video and some pictures...

It's a Boy!
Gabriel Josiah Turner (means: devoted fire of the Lord), right now: 13 1/2 oz., about the size of a Barbie Doll or as Andrew says a G.I.Joe. Everything is really healthy and still on schedule for a due date of September 1. I have one extremely happy heart, husband and an absent mind that left pictures at home today. Will add some tomorrow. Shells will find out in a few weeks too so stay tuned... Love to all!xo jessa

Runners on your mark, set, GO!
Well, Mrs. Woosley is now officially Coach Woosley. Challenger Middle School girl's track coach. It's weird to think that it has been almost 10 years since my feet slipped spikes on, and butterflies consumed my tummy before the gun shot and running my heart out in a 3 ft lane. It's really fun being back there. We have some really GREAT runners and really not-so-great runners on our team. But I have to remember how horrible I once was, and how it took many seasons to get to where I wanted to be. Anyway, we had our first meet today and placed 2nd! I was so proud of my babies! They had their ups and downs (for sure) but overall performed outstanding! What can I say, it's all about the coach... haha not! Four more meets to go!
On a side note- Spring break is next week! Chip and I will be cruising it up with some friends in the Bahamas! I can't wait to have a break and to not have to deal with crazies all week. I really can't wait for my BIG summer break!
Saturday, I will be taking a Praxis exam to qualify me to teach Middle School Math. I am really nervous because job security isn't something I have right now. Because of the economy, Huntsville City Schools will be making a lot of cuts. My principal has told me she will be fighting for me- but regardless- I would have to go back to school for my position- which is really something I am still debating. If I pass this test, I am considering myself to be a lot more marketable haha. I know the Lord is in control, it's just scary to think about being jobless AGAIN. So pray that I will pass this test, and the Lord will open and close doors to where he wants me!
Alright I have got to hit the sack- I am old- it's 10 and time change is killing me!! Love and miss y'all!

Ashleyville

On Tuesday I spent the night with Ashley in Nashville. I had gone to the lovely Tennessee favorite for work to help with a beautiful photo shoot (pics to come) for our newest collection inspired by the country greats. I had a wonderful time catching up with Ashley who looks as beautiful as ever and has the most amazing taste in prints. Check out her wonderful rugs above.
Her home is adorable. I loved everything deeply and wanted to share my favorite finds with the rest of the roomates.
Ashley, Thank you for your friendship, comforting conversation and Chick Fil A coupon. You are deeply loved.

Thriller!

This pic is me teaching some of the kids and leaders one of the most important things they will ever learn in life.. ha ha.. the thriller dance! gotta love michael jackson! This was at the jr. high winter camp this past January.
I know for me and I don't have a husband or a child
yet but my life has been crazy these last few months. I am in the
middle of a job transition at my church. I have been working with the
jr. high the last two years and now I am moving up to do sr. high. I am really excited about it!!
I joined a gym for the first time in my life! I love it! I do this
class called Zumba. It is so much fun! It is a dance class but it is
the best workout ever! Your heart rate goes up and down through out
the whole workout so you burn a ton of calories! You can burn 600-900
calories in one workout!! It is kind of crazy! You should do it if
you find somewhere that has it!! It really is so much fun! But it is
amazing how much better I feel with incorporating exercise into my life.
Some of you don't know this about me, but I have started playing the
guitar a lot lately! I learned to play in college ( well basic chord stuff from my sis), but have used it more now out of college. I actually just played this past Sunday at
church for youth worship. I play a couple times a month for that. I
also have started writing some songs. One of the songs is going to get
recorded soon and sent out to some people to see if they want to sing
it!! Kind of crazy! Keep your fingers crossed for that one!
